Speaker of the day: Stéphane Mallard — Future and Digital

Stéphane Mallard is a digital evangelist. He learned to code at a very young age and studied economics in Montreal and at Sciences Po Paris. Stéphane began his career in the trading rooms of a major European bank as a "digital evangelist" or foresight specialist. His role was to embrace all disruptive technologies related to the digital revolution such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and quantum computing, to make them less complex and intelligible in order to prepare the strategy to adopt in the face of their arrival.

An entrepreneur, author, and speaker, he is passionate about new technologies. He learned to code at a very young age, taught computer science, and developed websites from the age of 12 to earn pocket money. In high school, he developed calculation software for financing plans for a mortgage broker. This glimpse into the world of finance made him want to study economics. In 2007, he went to study at the University of Quebec in Montreal and graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics and finance. During his studies in Canada, he was awarded a scholarship of excellence by the university. In 2010, he joined Sciences Po Paris and graduated with a Master's in International Economic Policy in 2012.

After his studies and a stint in a consulting firm, he joined a startup and took care of communication, the website, and social networks. He intervened for the first time as a seminar facilitator for clients and, on this occasion, developed his taste for public speaking. In 2013, he joined the trading floors of an investment bank in a team in charge of digital transformation. He wrote his first digital awareness conferences, which quickly spread internally, and began speaking to the general public and the media.

In 2016, he joined a Franco-American technology company specializing in code and algorithms. His job was to raise awareness among leaders about digital transformation, which he presented as a massive disruption of uses and core business. Between 2016 and 2018, he spoke to leaders, schools, and the general public in Europe and the United States.

He founded Casual Shake in 2018 and dedicates himself full-time to raising awareness among businesses and the general public about the paradigm shift we are experiencing with digital technology. His interventions are often described as a positive wake-up call to the world to come.
