Anouk Dépré.

Anouk Vergé-Dépré is a Swiss beach volleyball player who represented her country at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She was born on February 11, 1992, in Bern, almost on a volleyball court, as both her parents were professional players.

From a young age, she played for a club and spent her summers playing beach volleyball on the beach.

After her first indoor season in the NLA as an attacker for the Sm‘Aesch Pfeffingen club, she chose to pursue beach volleyball professionally. What she appreciates about playing in a duo is the bond between the two partners: “each person carries a greater responsibility towards the other.” In 2016, she qualified for the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games with her former partner at the time: Isabelle Forrer. Unfortunately, they were eliminated by the German duo Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst. Together, they won the bronze medal at the World Tour in Toronto in 2016 against the Brazilians Larissa Franca and Talita Antunes.

But at the end of the 2016 season, Isabelle Forrer announced her retirement, and Anouk found herself without a partner. Meanwhile, Joana Heidrich also found herself without a partner as Nadine Zumkehr also retired. The two "orphans" decided to team up to form a fantastic duo. However, on paper, few would have bet on this unlikely pair, as both players were used to the same role: they both played at the net. It was Anouk who moved to the back: she had to challenge all her instincts.
