Géraldine Fasnacht.

Originally from the Canton of Vaud, Géraldine Fasnacht discovered the mountains in her early childhood and developed a passion for snowboarding, which she practices in Verbier. Her first achievement came quickly when she won the Xtrême de Verbier in 2002, propelling her into an extraordinary professional career.

A thirst for freedom, a sense of infinity – this is what Géraldine feels when she glides on a snowboard. Géraldine Fasnacht spent 12 years in the difficult and exhilarating world of competition, including 8 years on the Freeride World Tour.

Beyond that, it's the impression of being able to draw lines and carve new paths in the mountains that drives her spirit. So, by carving her path in the snow, Géraldine began to dream of flying and changing dimensions. From the age of 18, she set herself the goal of literally flying. First with skydiving (over 300 jumps to her credit), then freefall, and BASE jumping (as a reminder, B.A.S.E is the acronym for Buildings, Antennas, Spans, Earth). For her, it would be from cliffs, in the mountains.

She also dedicates herself to discovering the world, to exploring new environments to learn and discover other people, other cultures. She has thus reached both poles and icy lands.

She had to wait until 2001 to put on her first Wingsuit and make her first flights. And after 10 years of practice and intensive training, Géraldine has become the "bird-woman." She has also opened new flight routes, such as the summit of the Matterhorn in June 2014. What matters in this discipline is to extend the duration and distance of the flight as much as possible.

• 2nd place X-treme Verbier (Switzerland) despite a persistent ankle injury
• After the X-treme, a break to recover from a bad ankle sprain that wouldn't heal. Thanks to Dr. Siegrist (Hôpital de la Tour) and Eddy Rothenbühler, Osteopath in Préverenges (a magician), she was back in action for the season.
