Jean Troillet.
Jean Troillet, born on March 10, 1948, in Orsières, Valais.
Passionate about the mountains since his youth, he obtained his mountain guide certification at the age of 21. Swiss-Canadian, he has climbed ten of the world's highest peaks, including Everest, K2, and Kangchenjunga. Jean Troillet climbs mountains in alpine style without supplementary oxygen so that the challenge is always present.
Mountain guide, photographer (for Animan), sailor, heli-ski guide are among the talents of this fighter. He holds numerous records. In 1986, with Erhard Loretan, he set the speed record for the ascent of Everest via the north face in 43 hours. In 1997, he was the first person to snowboard down the same face. Today, at 69, his thirst for adventure seems inexhaustible.
