Thibault Trancart.

At 14, when he became blind following a double retina cancer, Thibault Trancart had to face his new life. There was no question of him being treated as disabled; he wanted to live normally with his difference and fight to achieve his goals.

It started with him earning his baccalaureate at the International School of Geneva in 2011. Just before graduating, he had to undergo another major medical operation for a brain tumor. Despite this ordeal and his health problems, Thibault Trancart stood strong and flew to Canada to earn a Bachelor's degree in management at McGill University in Montreal. At this university, blind and visually impaired people are fully integrated and benefit from the support of professors and tutoring, which allowed him to succeed and be the first blind graduate of this faculty. A real success!

But Thibault Trancart didn't stop there! A great ski enthusiast, he became totally blind in 2006 and had to learn to perceive the sensations of gliding through his other senses. Thanks to his boundless motivation, his father trained to be his guide and did not hesitate to push him to surpass himself. His challenge today: to participate in the Paralympic Ski Games in Korea 2018.
