Nāyla al-Khāja was born in Dubai in 1978. She is the first female to be film producer and director in the United Arab Emirates.

She is now the CEO of her own production company « Nayla Al Khaja Films » based in Dubai. She is also founder of « D-Seven Motion Pictures » and « The Scene Club » which is the first film club in Dubai, found in 2007.

She wrote and produces numerous films presented and awarded in many international festivals.

Since 2018, Al-Khāja focuses on directing films. She is also a motivational speaker, a cultural consultant and an influencer.
