— Well-being at work
Louis Derungs.

At 19, Louis Derungs was the victim of a tragic accident: struck by an electric shock. He spent a few days in a coma before having both arms amputated. Upon waking, he had lost the use of his legs, which he regained after 6 months of work with his therapists.
Miraculously still alive, he decided to make the best of this accident and share his experience. He underwent extensive training and maximized his skills to design and develop tools.
Prototyping and experimentation became his spearheads. There isn't one of his theories that he hasn't tested. This way of regaining control of his life enriched him with a philosophy that drives him to transmit independence, courage, and hope.
He deploys his motivation and personal development techniques through various activities such as:
- Writing a fashion blog
- Traveling, which he does thanks to the 5 languages he speaks
- Conferences he gives both at Ted Talk (opposite) and for various companies
- Hypnotherapy in a practice he manages in collaboration with a child psychiatrist. He is also setting up a start-up in this field where he incorporates virtual reality to improve the comfort of people suffering from phantom limb and chronic pain
- Writing, where in his first book "15 000 volts" he recounts his experience. This inspires, restores hope, and demonstrates his motto: you must always believe in the impossible.
- Sporting achievements, such as the Marathon des Sables, renowned as one of the toughest in the world, where he applied his theories on mindfulness to overcome his chronic pain in addition to the 42.195 km
At just 22 years old, he impresses with his maturity and strength. Louis Derungs brings positivity and courage in the face of life's obstacles.Languages spoken by the speaker
