= Paul Such, today CEO of Hacknowledge SA, one of the most successful Swiss companies in cybersecurity, started programming in his teens. This passion for code led him to Paris to attend an engineering school in security, and then in 2002, he founded SCRT, an SME specializing in cybersecurity. Paul Such then became a pioneer of what is known as "ethical hacking", which involves attacking a company's system at its request to reveal its security flaws. Organized by his company, the various editions of the "ethical hacking" competition Insomni’hack gave him international visibility. From banking to insurance, including industry and watchmaking, companies wishing to keep data secret called upon his services to conduct penetration tests, which then undoubtedly constituted his core business.
After 16 years at the helm of SCRT, Paul Such founded Hacknowledge in 2016, a security monitoring service provider based in French-speaking Switzerland which opened a branch in the United States the following year in Newport Beach (California). Rich in his experiences with organizations of European, even global, scale, Hacknowledge has developed simple-to-use, tailor-made solutions, adapted to the size of each company, thus providing every client worldwide with an effective way to monitor their information systems to detect and quickly respond to any cyberattack.
A natural educator, it is at the heart of the organization of the Swiss Cyber Security Days that Paul Such shows his concern to mobilize major players in the IT security field to raise awareness among the largest number of people about the risks involved and the conduct to adopt to avoid, or even counter, threats from cyberspace.Languages spoken by the speaker:

BlackAlps17: 16 years of (Cyber)-Security in French-speaking Switzerland: evolutions, perspectives
Today, digital transformation and technological progress go hand in hand with the constantly increasing risks of cyberattacks that undermine Swiss companies and organizations. Every company now depends on an information system and tools that allow it to communicate, store, manipulate, and exchange all types of data. According to the publisher FireEye, the frequency of attacks against companies is one hacking attempt every 1.5 seconds. Cybersecurity therefore concerns us all!
Paul Such's passion for IT security has always been at the origin of the values of the companies he has led. By staying as close as possible to the global community of cybersecurity experts, his team and he are always at the forefront of progress in this field, which requires technical knowledge and rigor, but also integrity and communication skills. He has thus given conferences around the world to explain the current issues and challenges in terms of cybersecurity.
